Sustainable Development Goals

We were assigned a new Hyperdoc pertaining to Sustainable Development Goals. I really enjoy using Hyperdocs because the platform is super engaging and it allows me to truly reflect on what I am learning. Below is all the information from my Hyperdoc!

  1. How would you change the world?
    • I would fight for equality, equity, and acceptance.
  2. Which goal do you feel most passionate about and why?
    • I feel most passionate about goal #2: No Poverty. That is because food deserts and childhood hunger is a huge problem across the nation and the world! All children deserve and need at least three healthy meals for them to develop and prosper into adults and live an enriching life.
  3. Summarize three articles related to your goal (SDG #2: No Poverty):
    • Before Covid-19, roughly 25% of people around the world had moderate to severe food scarcity concerns.
    • Almost 150 million children around the world has stunted development due to lack of food or no food availability.
    • Food producers in developing countries are hit extremely hard due to Covid-19.
  4. Describe three things you discovered about your goal:
    • There are millions of malnourished children and that number has been quickly on the rise since 2015.
    • In developing countries, food often takes a very long time to arrive at markets, which leaves villages and towns with no food for long periods of time and no access to outside sources.
    • Covid-19 is just another layer of disruption for people who lack food and food resources.
  5. Design an action that addresses your goal:
    • Here is a link to my FlipGrid that explains my invention, "Lunches for Kids."
